WEDNESDAY COMMUNITY LUNCH is part of our mission as a downtown church is to open our doors to create a stronger community. Each Wednesday, we host a downtown community lunch beginning at 11:45 AM. Retired church members, residents from nearby buildings, and office workers gather in our dining hall. We are becoming well known for healthy and affordable gourmet food, live music, and a place for good conversation.

PROJECT HOME Every November Central opens its doors and the arms, hearts, and minds of volunteers to serve as an overflow shelter for homeless children and their parents. This program is coordinated by the Saint Paul Area Council of Churches for Ramsey County, which does amazing work in many areas http://www.spacc.org. Each night during November we will provide temporary shelter for up to twenty people. Volunteers are needed to serve as Evening and Overnight hosts each night of the month.
ALTERNATIVE GIFT MARKET Central celebrates the season of Christmas, encouraging members and friends to make gifts that will echo in the lives of others in our community and around the world. Our children and youth learn about and promote gifts of animals to help families in developing areas through Heifer International. Other worthy organizations are selected, and church members learn about mission as they "shop" for that perfect gift for people who have all they need.
THE GIVING TREE Central celebrates Christmas and has long-supported a "Giving Tree." Working with strong year-round organizations, Central encourages members and friends to pick out gifts for needy families to be distributed anonymously at Christmas.
OPEN SANCTUARY Central opens its sanctuary from noon to one every afternoon for anyone needing a place to pray. On Wednesdays from 12:45 to 1:00 PM, there is a simple worship of Scripture, hymns, and prayer to refresh our spirits in the middle of a busy week.
